The first time you say ‘Thank you’ to the public bus driver, it’s difficult. The second time it’s easier and the third time it’s already a habit.
The first time you give your seat to a lady in a public bus it’s somehow difficult. The second time it has become a pride
The first time you kiss your sister in her forehead it’s difficult. The next times it’s natural.
The self has the strength of a wild beast but it’s far easier to tame and learns very fast. Lucky for those who want to, and are able to tame it

My mom wants me to be humble all the time..
But I’m more than surprised to se myself listed in the company’s nominations for the year’s service award.
It’s funny, as the examples listed in my part are mostly other people’s efforts, and all has happened long ago. Aya I’m happy to get my share of the credit anyway…
Will try to remain in next year’s list !

Imitated from Mr Còi:
| You Are 70% Boyish and 30% Girlish |
You are pretty evenly split down the middle - a total eunuch.
Okay, kidding about the eunuch part. But you do get along with both sexes.
You reject traditional gender roles. However, you don’t actively fight them.
You’re just you. You don’t try to be what people expect you to be. |

| Your Power Level is: 75% |
You’re a very powerful person, and you know that all of your power comes from within.
Keep on doing what you’re doing, and you’ll reach your goals. |
Is it me, after all?

I love the pavements in the center area of District 1 where one can walk very easily and safely. Everyone is smiling, including the motobike drivers who always try to offer me ‘motorbike’, ‘massage’ and ‘young ladies’
This evening I have a walk from Notre Dame to the end of Dong Khoi street, have some fun playing games with these motobike drivers - who think I’m a Chinese - and feel myself sweating and heating from the quick paces
Central Saigon is beautiful!

This is the English version of the post below
I’d suggest the title as a localized alternative for Steve Jobs’ famous quote “stay hungry, stay foolish.” Why?
In Vietnamese the equivalent for ‘hungry’ has the narrower meaning of ‘physical hunger for food’, and little of ’strongly or eagerly desirous’ in general as it is meant to be in the quote. The majorities, who have either experienced or instinctly feared physical hunger, will not find the original phrase as appealing! I’m not an exception, I can say
The other reason is that when one has little fear about his stomach, he is more likely to accept the risk of being ‘foolish,’ which has never been a norm in VN’s 4-thousand-year cuture.
So why not be full-ish, guys !

At about 6:30 pm, the sunset would cast its last beams to the west side of the Twin Towers, making it glow like gold
At the square near the fountains, one could lie on his back, looking at the towers and the sky, and wondering what humans can do with a little bit of well-organized efforts
Thus, a building is not only a place to shelter, it is a monument for other people to look at..

The colleagues decided to have some kind of gathering , so we booked a restaurant on the way and had dinner together. It was some twenty people in 2 buses, all sat on a big table very near the side of the road
It was the second round of beer, when we heard a big crash and saw to our dismay that another company bus was slowing down, revealing a motorbike lying on the road.

I’ve just met one of my long-lost friends who used to be a technical guy but switched job and has joined the real-estate business for several years. Being a smart guy, he has earned fairly well and does not want to get back to IT for whatever reason :>)
During the conversation I tried to introduce to him what the open-source software concept is, how the GPL works, how OSSs do not prevent people from making money (which at first sounds like a paradox - or ‘oxymoron‘,) and how the society as a whole can benefit from these - and watched his response in the meantime, verbally and non-verbally.
As expected, I would see a strange look - perhaps he’s comparing the ‘open-it-all’ concept with the secrets he’s having in order to keep his business survive (it’s tough isn’t it) but after a while I saw brightened flash in his eyes. It was short, like any other lightning , but it did happen.
He says it sounds ‘extremely promising’ to him, and on the other hand I know he’s not completedly persuaded yet. But I do also know, at the same level of certainty, that it’ll keep him thinking about
..and I’m happy about that!
